Amanda Whitley is showing the movie, UnCounted, The New Math of American Elections, at the Public Library on Sat, Feb 2 at 3 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

Amanda first saw the movie at a Clarksville screening held in Dec 07. She bought the movie and with permission from the filmmaker, David Earnhardt, is showing it on Saturday.

After hearing about the possibility of election fraud during the 2004 presidential election, Earnhardt began investigating this issue. This movie has stories, facts and expert testimonials from all over the United States which, put as a whole, clearly shows that there are many problems with our election process.

For example, exit polls taken in the U.S. during the 2004 elections show an illogically high margin of error. This disparity was higher than the margin of error found after elections in the Ukraine. The Ukrainians demanded a revote.

How has our election process changed to one where a simple computer error can drastically change the outcome of an election? Voting machine hacking programs do exist, "I wrote one," says computer programmer, Clinton Curtis.

Other issues discussed in the film are people waiting 12 hours and longer to vote, election officials refusing to let people vote, electronic machines that can’t be verified, worked on or checked by anyone other than the machine manufacturer. The film shows how these many errors taken together make up “the new math of American elections”.

“I want people to see the evidence and think about it” says Amanda.

David Boen says, “I hope more people in Tennessee see this film.”

Debbie Boen says, “You can’t see this film and go back to thinking that everything is all right. It also empowers you to want to do something about it. It is, after all, about our most basic right and voice in our great nation.”
